ROYAUME UNI69563001 img 2a 1 89014601 roundhouses  Black Loch of Myrton  - Plans have been submitted to reconstruct an Iron Age roundhouse near the site of the discovery of a major settlement in southern Scotland. It follows the discovery of the remains of a group of roundhouses at Black Loch of Myrton thought to date back to the fifth century BC. The roundhouse excavated last year was exceptionally large, over 13 metres in diameter, and is one of seven or eight on the site. Excavations will continue this summer and plans have now been lodged with Dumfries and Galloway Council to recreate a roundhouse.

USA T0013216111 700445 Old Vero Man - "We found out some interesting things about the prehistoric inhabitants of the Vero site," Hemmings said. "The wealth of ancient plant and animal life at the site were part of a well-watered oasis existing in an otherwise dry grassland environment during ancient Vero's ice age." The third year of excavation is under the direction of Hemmings and principal investigator James Adovasio, who now lead the team from Florida Atlantic University on the project.

EGYPTEKing tut face Vallée des Rois - Radar experts are casting doubt on claims that King Tutankhamun's tomb contains hidden, undiscovered chambers — and they're calling for more data to be released. Some of these experts noted that the geology of the Valley of the Kings, which contains many natural voids, makes it difficult for radar to distinguish archaeological features from natural ones.  The Egyptian antiquities ministry said more radar surveys will be conducted in the next few days, and another news conference is scheduled to take place on April 1 in Luxor.
